Default Desecrate Enchantment.

Ok i was running one day when i noticed i was takin some damage. the source of this damage was a spell called desecrate enchantment. Now what i thought was weird about this spell was that i didnt loose my mending enchant when hit with the spell. i was just getting spamed with them pretty good.. so as a test I took mending off. i had zero enchantments on me. and low and behold. i still took the same ammount of damage from desecrate enchantment. and it was spammed upon me at the same rate. so i have 2 questions. first is what is this spell. and second is this spell bugged?

It's not bugged, but at the same time I don't think it's right that you take damage even if not enchanted. Shatter doesn't damage the target without enchants, why should Desecrate?

desecrate dosnt do nearly as much dmg as shatter, and they are different skills from different attribute lines and classes, so its not really fair to compair the 2.

It would be a totally crap skill if it didn't have the base damage, unless the damage-per-enchantment were increased to a ludicrous degree.

Desecrate Enchantments

Target foe and all nearby foes take 6-49 shadow damage and 4-17 shadow damage for each enchantment on them.

Basically, you take 6-49 damage regardless of whether or not you are currently enchanted, and you take an extra 4-17 for each enchantment you do have on you.

I could live with 10-66 for each enchantment on you...because that would hit for hundreds or armor ignoring damage...and thats with just 1 enchantment. It would also deal the damage to everyone around them.

Woo, talk about making enchantments useless again.
